INVATEC - Innovative Technologies

In 1996 Invatec was created, growing out of FOGAZZI, at that time a small but ever active and growing family run research company established in 1978 by Luigi Venturelli. From the start, FOGAZZI's special know-how has been in plastic processing, extrusion and thermo forming (fuel lines, high pressure tubing, etc.) for the industrial field.

Located in the high tech industrial area close to Brescia, in northern Italy, it was in 1981 that FOGAZZI started moving towards the medical area by prototyping and producing small series of catheters dedicated to specific research projects in cooperation with Italian Universities and Public Research Foundation.

In 1989, with the development of PTLA laser plaque debulking catheters, FOGAZZI initiated the production activity of medical devices. This was soon extended to further manufacturing as an OEM supplier for well established companies in the Interventional Vascular field. As OEM volumes constantly grew throughout the following years, and thanks to the proven design, high performance and acceptance of these products, the decision was taken to establish a proprietary Brand name in addition to the OEM line. [+]
